Niagara Books is proud to offer this quarter-leather edition of the Poetical works of Lord Byron: Complete in one volume, by the Lord George Gordon Byron, published in 1869 by Lee and Shepard of Boston, Massachusetts.

Originally bound in cloth, this tome was rebound in brown kid leather. This quarter-leather 8vo is in very good (VG) condition and does not have a dust jacket.

There are four raised ribs and the title, publication year and designs are gilded in gold on the spine.  The binding is tight and all text block and fly-leaves are all intact and with the exception of their sunned appearance and minor foxing all pages are generally free from writing or other markings. All three edges are marbled.  In addition, there are five steel plates containing illustrations (including a portrait of Lord Byron).  All plates are in good condition (see pictures), and a sheet of tissue paper separates the plates from the text.  The book measures 9 ¾ x 6 ¾ x 2 ¼ and has 829 pages.

Please note, although I cannot smell smoke or mustiness in this book, I cannot guarantee that this book came from a smoke or pet free home.
